Business Programming

Below are some highlights from our past business-related events.

  • Annual Barnhardt Seminar: This reception and seminar is a forum for discussion about business realities and their ethical implications for our society. Participants are business professionals, community leaders, and UNC Charlotte faculty, staff and students. Made possible by a gift from the William H. Barnhardt family, the annual reception and seminar features an address by a well-recognized and respected leader in the regional business community. The presentation focuses on the difficult ethical challenges that the speaker's company faces. Opportunities for further networking between the business community and academic community typically emerge form the evening's discussion.
  • Why Courts Matter: A Conversation with North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Michael Morgan: Justice Morgan began with remarks from the podium and then sat down with two Pre-law Society leaders for a wide-ranging conversation about the role of courts, his career and advice he may have for our students.
  • Jarami Bond: Sustainable Careers Workshop: Mr. Bond, manager of sustainability at Interface, Inc., discussed with students and professionals ideas for transforming their passion for the environment into rewarding careers that protect our natural resources.
