End of Semester News

December 9, 2016 - 4:30 PM

As the semester winds down, we wanted to remind everyone of upcoming programming in the Spring and take note of a couple of recent Center speakers in the news.  First, both Mary Ann Franks and Danielle Citron, who spoke last year in our series on the harassment of women online, feature in a New Yorker article by Margaret Talbot, "The Attorney Fighting Revenge Porn."

Second, Dorothy Roberts, who spoke in our series two years ago on incarceration, gave this year's highly prestigious Tanner Lectures on Human Values at Harvard University.  Video for the firsdt lecture is here; for the second, see here. The Tanner lectures are always published, so you can also wait a while and then read them...

Center highlights for the spring semester include:

  • Three speakers on precision medicine
  • More speakers in the "Being Muslim in America" series
  • The Barnhardt Seminar, details TBA
  • Andrew Selbst will be speaking on discrimination and remedies in data analytics, as part of the data analytics conference uptown, March 28-30.
