Executive Forum

Next Executive Forum September 16, 2009

Speaker: Harry Jones, Mecklenburg County Manager

The Charlotte Executive Forum, was created in 1986. Members include religious, governmental, business, educational, and other professional leaders. The Forum meets monthly (7 months per year) at The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Charlotte Branch for breakfast and a presentation with discussion of significant societal issues.

The mission statement is: “Recognizing that conversation has the potential to inform and assist leaders to be more effective, the Executive Forum has as its purpose to engage Charlotte leaders representing the arts, education, government, health care, politics and religion in serious conversation focused on significant issues which affect the safety, health, livability, prosperity and unity of our community.”

In 2000 the Center for Professional and Applied Ethics assumed the Executive Forum under its umbrella. As a program of the Ethics Center the Forum has increased its membership and attendance at the monthly meetings has grown with the Center's efforts at programming and logistics.
